Starhawk Private Beta Impressions

Starhawk is the sequel to the very popular multiplayer title Warhawk. LightBox Interactive is the team behind the successor to the multiplayer hit, and has kept a lot of the same gameplay mechanics that made Warhawk so popular. I was able to get some time with the Starhawk private beta, and while I was only able to play one mode on two maps, and there are some balancing issues, the game shows a lot of promise.

Hands-On Preview: PS Vita

Last night Sony kicked off the San Francisco Vita Hill Social Club, giving gamers an early opportunity to check out the PlayStation Vita. Sony’s new handhed offers a slew of new features, and one of the big draws is the touch screen. I checked it out to give you an early insight into what to expect from the new system. Arkham City’s First 3 Hours: A Disappointing Start

After playing through the first three or so hours of Batman: Arkham City, which amounts to five chapters (plus two from the Catwoman DLC), I have to say that I’m impressed, but worried about the direction the game is going.

Beta Impressions: Ratchet and Clank All 4 One

Ratchet and Clank has always been a popular choice for kids or adults looking for a wholesome good time. That hasn't changed over the years, but with the upcoming edition you'll be able to play with up to three other people. As we inch closer and closer to release Insomniac is busy working out the kinks in Resistance 3 so naturally Ratchet and Clank is on the back burner; however they are giving us the pleasure of a beta. Resistance 3 PlayStation Move Sharp Shooter First Impressions

Resistance 3 released this week, and along with the regular retail version, Sony released a Doomsday edition which comes with the PlayStation Move Sharp Shooter. The PlayStation Move Sharp Shooter is kind of like a gun shell, where you place the PS Move and Navigation controller in the shell and it turns into a rifle of sorts. It’s built well, and most games make full use of the peripheral. So how does the Sharp Shooter work with Resistance 3? Not as good as I would have liked.
