Sony – E3 2014 Conference – Live Blog
Sony’s much-anticipated conference will start at 6pm PDT/9pm EST! Tune in to see what surprises they have in store for us.

The trailer for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End opens with Drake battered and bruised on a river mound, grabbing a gun as the moon glints off his wedding ring, crawling up and venturing into the jungle, “One last time.”
One last reveal…and it is…Uncharted 4!
The Scarecrow is reintroduced! He looks like he’s been through quite a bit since we last saw him. Scarecrow Nightmare Missions are exclusive to PS4.
Batman Arkham Knight gets a great gameplay demo. The batmobile is an impressive instrument this time around as it shoots The Caped Crusader out and plays directly into combat and exploration now.
Grand Theft Auto 5 for PS4! Looks great.
Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain gets a trailer! Stark, beautiful, and extremely ambitious, with an inscrutable storyline. All we love from the series.
Ratchet and Clank 1 and The Last of Us both will get a remastered version for next year.

Brian Michael Bendis steps out to announce the greenlighting of the new series, Powers, based on the graphic novel series. The production talent behind it is quite impressive, featuring alums of The Walking Dead and Caprica.
Sub-Zero and Scorpion fight, intercut with footage of two new fighters going at it. One can stretch her limbs and fight with insects, while the other is a short fighter riding a large hulking creature.

The Playstation TV has now been announced. Allows you to play your PS4 games remotely on any tv in the house.
Playstation Now will be available to US and Canada as open beta on July 31st. Will soon be open to all. The PSN experience will also be open to certain Sony TVs.
Over 25 Free to Play titles are heading to PSN soon, including Planetside 2 and Kingdom Under Fire 2.
Twitch and UStream are now added to PSN, as part of social gaming. Interact with others as they play.
Shawn Layden is introduced. Begins by talking about PSN. 95% of PS4s are connected, over a billion hours spent gaming already. Youtube is coming to PS4 as well.
Project Mopheus is discussed and is featured on the E3 showfloor.
The Playstation Camera is spoken about, as something offered, “by choice.” The crowd laughs at the little jab at Microsoft.
This small indie company has managed to churn out an insanely promising title, featuring procedurally generated worlds so vast, even the developers don’t know what’s out there. It’s infinite. Amazing.
No Man’s Sky looks jawdropping.
One last amazing indie title, is shown. A vibrant alien world filled with life. A lone figure walks by – all gameplay footage – before taking off in a spaceship and seamlessly flying out of orbit and into aerial combat. Incredible stuff.
The makers of Journey have a brand new, underwater marvel to show off, named Abzu. Highlights include swimming near several whales, and exploring surreal, beautiful caverns. Console debut on PS4.
The aesthetic of Let It Die is grim and violent and very stylish. Out in 2015.
A new Suda51 title! Exclusive to PS4.
A string of exciting indie titles are shown, including Hotline Miami: Wrong Number, Broforce, Titan Souls, and The Talos Principle.
A little girl reads a letter hoping for a Tim Schafer game to arise from the dead. The little girl is revealed to be Tim Schafer. Huge news as Grim Fandango is getting a remastered PS4 version!
Trailer for Magicka 2 features coffee, levity, and exploding cats.
Destiny for PS4 will receive a metric ton of exclusive content, like missions.
Disney Infinity will get exclusive Avengers heroes for PS3 and PS4.
Features grappling hooks and ziplines and huge amounts of explosions.
Focus shifts to Battlefield Hardline, the worst-kept secret of E3.
The new PS4 edition of Diablo 3 will feature enemies from The Last of Us too.
That was a trailer for Dead Island 2!
New trailer features a recently bitten jogger casually running as zombies descend on everyone around him. The world is very bright and sunny even as the chaos around reaches a crescendo. The jogger transforms too.
Adam Boyes steps on stage exciting about weaponized pachyderms, aren’t we all? Just announces that the PS4 version has an exclusive ability to invite players to join regardless of whether they even own Far Cry 4.
A second player just dropped in! Co-op kicks in with player 2 piloting a small helicopter while player 1 shoots. An elephant joins the fray and destroys a jeep. Tagline is Every Second is a Story.
Chaos erupts as the player attaches an explosive to a barrel, kicks it, and fires while jumping from roof to roof and escaping in a small vehicle. The potential for exciting, spontaneous gameplay is very high.
Far Cry 4 is being shown off now. The setting is Kyrat, a mountainous, snowy landscape. Game footage shows the main character swinging from a ledge and climbing, all beautifully rendered.
Bloodborne’s trailer is unsettling and suitably creepy. Tons of gore and eerie monsters. 2015 release date, quite exciting.
Bloodborn, a new IP from the Dark Souls geniuses over at From Software. The crowd is excited.
Even better news, the millions of levels from the previous games will be playable in LBP3 as well, with upscaled graphics.
Little Big Planet 3, out in November of this year!
There’s a genuine sense of outright co-op fun on the stage. The crowd rejoices as the players overcome obstacles.
LBP3 features several new friends for the beloved Sockboy. The world looks just as fun and inventive as ever before. Quite a successful live demo.
All the team behind LITTLE BIG PLANET 3 had to do was show the logo for the crowd to lose their minds. Oldsock is a brand new character.
Infamous First Light, due in August 2014.

Entwined is open for purchase right this moment for .99!
A game about two souls in love who cannot be together. Two characters controlled by each control stick, navigating courses. Quite visually striking.
From gothic and dark to bright and colorful. Two origami-esque animals flow and fly around each other, revealing the new game, Entwined.
The Order 1886 ends with the creature leaping at the man.
The man comes across a monster, which transforms before his eyes and stalks after him. The cutscene switches to gameplay seamlessly as he fires a pistol wildly. This is The Order.
A new IP exclusive to PS4 is being shown off now. A man stalks through a morose, dark environment wielding a lantern.
Huge news! July 17th, the Destiny Beta will be available exclusively to PS owners. This Thursday, the Destiny Alpha will be open to PS4 owners.
It’s safe to say that the voiceover of the trailer was none other than Peter Dinklage.
This is the world of Destiny. A bold trailer plays out featuring lots of combat both on the ground and off.
Three astronauts emerge from a pod on the surface of Mars. A voiceover describes humanity’s colonization of the solar system thanks to something called The Traveler.
