Dragon Fin Soup Developer, Grimm Bros, Holding AMA Reddit Thread and Twitch Stream
Kickstarter is always a great way to get funding for your project as well as get the word out to a lot of potential backers. While some fail to meet their goals within the time limit, you do have ones that go well beyond their hopeful goal. One such example is the really stunning Dragon Fin Soup. Developed by Grimm Bros, a new indie company comprised of veteran developers, Dragon Fin Soup is a tactical action RPG that seems to craft beloved fairy tales into something different and just as magical.
With just three days left on their Kickstarter, Grimm Bros has over $80,000 pledged which is over triple its goal of $24,000. Personally, this really isn’t a surprise as Dragon Fin Soup looks spectacular and unique. But the developers are not just wanting to settle for the amount they currently have. There are more stretch goals, some including new playable characters and dungeons, that they want to have added to the game. Even if they don’t reach some of the higher goals, I do hope we see them implemented after the game’s release.
Grimm Bros will be holding an AMA thread of reddit tomorrow night starting at 6 or 7 pm PST. This will be an opportune time to pick their brains and learn more about Dragon Fin Soup. You can also check out their live stream that will be tentatively happening on April 10 from 6 pm to 8 pm PST which is the last day of the Kickstarter.
A release date for Dragon Fin Soup is unknown at this time though it is expected to be released this year. It will be available for the PC, PS3, PS4, and Vita. While a release for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One is not official, Grimm Bros hopes to work with Microsoft to get this RPG on the consoles.
If Dragon Fin Soup catches your eye and you want to show your support, be sure to visit the Kickstarter page and pledge. Or you can always just spread the word to other RPG lovers.
