Who Wants To Be A Millionaire: Special Editions Hitting XBLA, PSN, And Steam Soon
Chances are you’ve heard of the TV game show where you can win money just by correctly answering a series of questions. Of course, you can still walk away with little to nothing if your answer is wrong. Deep Silver announced today that they would be bringing Who Wants To Be A Millionaire: Special Editions to the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 later this month.
Fans of the TV game show know the basics. If you’re able to beat out the other contestants with the fastest correct answer during the ‘Fastest Finger First Round’, you move on to the hot seat. This is where you get the chance to correctly answer a series of questions that increase the amount you can win. Not certain what an answer is? You can use any of the three classic lifelines that are at your disposal: Phone-A-Friend, Ask The Audience, and 50:50. You can play by yourself or against up to four other players locally with scores based on speed.
With over 1,000 questions, you shouldn’t run into the same ones over and over. But if you’re worried that you might run into this issue, you can always purchase one or more of the themed question packs that are aimed towards specific areas of expertise. The first question pack which will be released on the same date as the game is called Who Wants To Be A Movie Millionaire and will add over 500 additional questions to the game.
Who Wants To Be A Millionaire: Special Editions, developed by Doublesix and Disney-ABC Domestic Television, will be hitting the PSN on October 15 and the XBLA and Steam on October 16. The suggested retail price for the game is $9.99 and each additional question pack is priced at $2.99.
