Have you been putting off the purchase of the Vita, Sony’s latest handheld system? If you have due to the price being higher than what you’d like to pay, then we have some good news coming out of Gamescom today.┬áThe Vita is now available for $199.99 in North America and includes the limited edition The Walking Dead Vita bundle that comes out this week.

One thing that a lot of current and future potential Vita owners have expressed a concern over has been the steep prices for the memory cards needed in the handheld. Sure, you could purchase a 4GB one for the seemingly cheaper price of $20. But that 4GB will be used up quickly if you download any full Vita titles from the PlayStation Store. Sony has also announced that the memory cards are going to receive a price drop as well. Though it isn’t as much as one might like, it is a start. You can check the prices below.

I personally still feel like $80 for the 32GB memory card is still a bit high. But who knows? Maybe we’ll see another price drop around the release of the PS4.
