Hometown Story And The Talent Behind It

Hometown Story And The Talent Behind It

Natsume’s upcoming Hometown Story has been touched by some of the most talented people to work in the video game industry. If you are thinking that Hometown Story looks very much like the entries in the Harvest Moon series, that is because the creator of Harvest Moon, Yasuhiro Wada, has designed this title.

Using his own personal life to inspire Hometown Story, Wada wanted to pay homage to quiet and simple lifestyle that the countryside can offer. Hometown Story follows the player as they journey to your hometown after the passing of their grandmother to take over the store you had inherited. Luckily, you won’t be let to do all this by yourself as Pochica the magical sprite is there to lend a hand. Not to mention the variety of unique villagers that you will come to know.

Other important people behind the creation of Hometown Story are Atsuko Nishida, the designer known for many Pokemon designs and Nobuo Uematsu, famed composer known for his work on many Final Fantasy titles. With all these names, you can help but be excited to see what Hometown Story will offer.

Hiro Maekawa, President and CEO of Natsume, commented:

“We’re excited and privileged to be working with so many giants of the video game industry, and can’t wait to see what players think of the game. With Hometown Story’s release coming up quickly, our fans won’t have to wait long to experience a very unique game!”

No release date is set in stone though we do know that Hometown Story is expected to come out sometime this Fall for the Nintendo 3DS. Be sure to stay tuned as we keep you up to date on this.
