Persona 3: The Movie #1 Gets Release Date and Trailer

Persona 3 Movie

¬†Anybody up for a awesome movie based on one of the best JRPG’s Japan has to offer? Well, you’re in luck, as the upcoming movie based on Atlus’s JRPG Persona 3 today got a release date and trailer.

The movie will follow the first few months of the game, and from the looks of the character details it is looking like they plan on going up to where Fuuka gets introduced. The style seems quite different from the Persona 4 anime, which recently released in the west. The first in the series of movies will summon itself into Japanese theaters on November 23rd, and tickets can be ordered from the 10th of August for 1,500 yen. Catch the trailer below, as well as character designs for all major characters, which were done by Keisuke Watabe

As an anime fan, and the fact that Persona 3 is my second-favorite JRPG, I am ever-so slightly looking forward to this, even though there’s no news yet on a English dub, sadly. If you fancy playing the original game, either buy it on PS2, or grab the fantastic Persona 3 Portable via the PSN Store on PSP. It works on the PlayStation Vita too. You won’t regret the 50 hour+ masterpiece with this beautiful JRPG.
