NVIDIA Shield Will Now Ship On July 31

NVIDIA Shield Will Now Ship On July 31

Remember NVIDIA’s answer to the OUYA, the Shield? Well buyers who pre-ordered the system certainly will due to the fact that shipping was delayed last month due to a “mechanical issue that relates to a third-party component.”

Well, today NVIDIA are happy to announce that the error has finally been resolved, and that the system will now ship out to people who pre-ordered the Android-based gaming system on 31st of July, or Wednesday next week.

Shield is a portable gaming system made by NVIDIA, who are most well known for their PC graphics cards and for the Tegra Processor, a high graphics power-based processor built for Android devices. Shield will be the company’s flagship device for the brand new Tegra 4 Processor, a quad-core mobile processor with a blazing fast 1.9GHz clock speed.

Pre-orders are still open on NVIDIA’s store, and anybody who pre-orders gets a limited-edition t-shirt, so order your Shield now before the offer goes.
