New Assassin’s Creed Graphic Novel Introduces New Assassin

The third chapter in the Assassin’s Creed graphic novel series has been announced by Ubisoft as Assassin’s Creed: Brahnam. With the award-winning creative team featuring scribe Brenden Fletcher and artists Cameron Stewart and Karl Kerschl, this series looks to follow-up previous works Assassin’s Creed: The Fall and Assassin’s Creed: The Chain.

This time, readers will be bought to the faraway lands of 19th-century India, a rich historic backdrop (as is typical of Assassin’s Creed) of a country subjugated under British rule. The star assassin is new character, Arbaaz Mir, who seeks revenge against a lifelong foe who has “subjucated his land and people.” Presumably the British, then, huh? Ubisoft assures us that the comic will dive deep into the already existing lore of Assassin’s Creed, as well as “unveiling new information and teasing future storylines.” How coy of them.

This graphic novel is slated to launch this fall in North America, like in time for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, which is aiming for release late October.
