Today Nintendo revealed  how their software and hardware for Nintendo 3DS has sold for the month of June, and the numbers were pretty solid.

Starting on the hardware side of things, there were nearly 225,000 3DS units sold in the U.S., leading the hardware sales for the second consecutive month. 3 of the 5 top selling software for the month of June were 3DS games, with Animal Crossing leading the bunch with a total of 505,000 copies sold, both digital and retail. Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon came in with 115,000 copies sold in its fourth month on the market, and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D sold 108,000 copies in its second month.

This all culminates in a 40% and 105% growth in hardware and software sales for the first half of the year compared to the first six months of last year. Nintendo still has a strong lineup set for the second half of 2013 with games like Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, A Link Between Worlds, Mario Party 3DS, and Pokemon X & Y.
