Fancy playing a round of chess, but with glorious environments? Good news for you then, as Pure Chess, which is on the PSN Network, is due to launch on iOS, Android, and on the Amazon Store for the Kindle Fire soon.

The game, which originally launched on PS3 and Vita last year, allows players to learn the art of playing chess in a way that players have never been able to before. Either take part in tutorial mode to learn the game step by step, or take part in tournaments. The challenge level can be changed as well, so any player from amateurs to grand masters of chess can enjoy the experience. See for yourself how how the old game of chess can look so beautiful in the first screenshots below.

Pure Chess is due to launch soon on iOS, Google’s Play Store and the Amazon App Store for Kindle Fire devices.
