Nintendo Pulls a 180 on Smash Bros Melee EVO Stream Ban

If you remember yesterday, the organizers of EVO, the biggest fighting games tournament taking place this weekend, reported that Nintendo banned them from streaming their Super Smash Bros Melee tournament.

Just six hours after the reports, Nintendo have pulled an Xbox-One-style 180 on its decision and have now allowed EVO to stream the Super Smash Bros Melee tournament this weekend after all. The plans for this weekend’s event, which kicks off Friday, are now returned to their original places before the announcement.

Now is the time to rejoice, as we can now all enjoy the Super Smash Bros Melee tournament on Twitch this weekend. Are you looking forward to EVO? I am personally looking forward to seeing the Persona 4 Arena and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 pros in action. Catch the restored streaming lineup below.
