A new addition will be added to the popular Assassin’s Creed franchise and this time it’ll be taking place beyond our consoles. New details have been revealed for an AC board game after a successful debut of the anticipated Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag at this year’s E3. Electronic Theatre has announced that Assassins Creed: The Board Game will be heading our way come Christmas, hopefully just in time to be placed under our trees. The story is as follows:

“In this board game, players take on the role of assassins in the ancient city of Constantinople. Your goal is to seek out targets and take them down, grab treasure when you can and keep an eye out for the guards… and your opponents.”

Filling the shoes of an assassin and seeking targets to take them down? Nothing new there. Now, if you’ve played AC: Revelations, you’ll find the setting to be familiar but we’re left with no other clues about game mechanics or characters. In any case, could there be a possibility that we’ll meet our Ottoman Brotherhood leader Yusuf Tazim once more? The game will be developed by Cryptozoic Entertainment, makers of the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game and The Walking Dead Board Game among others.
