SEGA this morning released another statement concerning the release of their MMO Phantasy Star Online 2 in the west, saying that the game is still delayed.

The space MMO which got delayed 3 months ago was originally released in Japan late last year, and was originally planned for a summer release until the delay got announced. In a small statement to Kotaku, SEGA re-confirmed that the game is delayed and that it will release in the west at some point. Well, at least it happening guys, it could be worse, like being cancelled altogether.

If you’re like me and want to play the game now, there is a English patch available for the Japanese release. Be warned however as using this patch in theory breaks the terms agreement for your SEGA account and you could get banned. Be sure to keep your eyes on Vivid Gamer for more on the western release of Phantasy Star Online 2, now let us all look at the stars and wish that it happens.
