3 Assassin’s Creed Titles in Development

3 Assassin’s Creed Titles in Development

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has confirmed that three more Assassin’s Creed titles are in development and due for annual releases. In an interview with Kotaku, Guillemot and his team strive for “innovation” to create regular products that fans will appreciate. As the path of the Assassin’s Creed franchise continues to grow, what does Ubisoft have in store for us after this year’s swashbuckling adventure? The arrival of Edward Kenway marks a unique departure from the rich frontier land and Boston’s chaotic environment. Naval warfare will finally play a much larger role, which, in my opinion, was an enjoyable aspect of ACIII.

As we have seen in the gameplay demos of ACIV revealed at E3, adventures across the Caribbean islands await us on land and aboard the Jackdaw. Although Guillemot did not disclose much about the three upcoming games, it is more than likely that ACIV is one of them. The series’ geographical diversity and historical inspiration has no doubt enticed from all over the world. The big question that is always speculated before any new release is therefore: where will the next game take place? Knowing Ubisoft, they could very well launch us anywhere from Ancient Egypt to Feudal Japan.

What do you think about a new AC churned out every year?
