Club Nintendo Update 6/6/13

Club Nintendo Update 6/6/13

This is a new regular update that we are starting here at Vivid Gamer, detailing for you the latest updates on Club Nintendo offers and free goodies.

The Basics:

For those of you that don’t know, Club Nintendo is a service that Nintendo offers, somewhat similar in concept to Xbox Rewards. It is free to sign up and become a member, so if you are a Nintendo fan or you plan on buying the Wii U or 3DS sometime soon, this is for you! To go into the basics of how Club N works, you basically buy certain qualified games and hardware such as a Wii U, 3DS, and even Wii’s, then register the item online using your account to gain a certain amount of points for it. Of course to get the points you have to complete a short 5 minute survey and that’s no problem at all. With these points, you can redeem them for cool prizes and offers such as entire games! Every few weeks Nintendo has a few new featured games you can get, be it for Wii, Wii U, or 3DS. I’m sure in the near future there will be another featured game specifically for Wii U Virtual Console (meaning, not having to go to the Wii Menu) and you’ll be the first to know once that happens!

Now for the latest Club news!

Super Mario Bros. 3

This past Sunday, June 2nd, Nintendo released a fresh new batch of games for you to redeem. 4 games in fact, 2 for Wii/Wii U and 2 for 3DS. The first of the Wii games is Super Mario Bros. 3. Released in 1990 on the original NES, Super Mario Bros. 3 is regarded as one of the best 2D platformers of all-time. The first game to introduce power-ups like the Tanooki Suit, Frog Suit, and Hammer Suit, this is a game that anyone can pick up and play, regardless of age or gamer experience. You can pick up this classic Mario game for 150 Coins right now.

F-Zero X

The other Wii/Wii U game available right now is F=Zero X, a N64 futuristic racing game released in 1998. This game features 30 hovercars and several different game modes for you to choose from and even includes up to 4 player splitscreen multiplayer action. If racing or playing with family and friends is more your style, this game is for you. You can download this title right now for 200 Coins.

Link ‘n’ Launch

Now for some 3DS love. First up we have Link ‘n’ Launch, a DSiWare game. Made by the creators of the beloved Fire Emblem series, Intelligent Systems, this is a slightly different game than what you might be used to from this primarily strategy creators. Link ‘n’ Launch is a puzzle game that uses touch controls in a quirky space setting. You can download it for 150 Coins.

Metroid II: Return of Samus

The last 3DS game and final game for this update is Metroid II: Return of Samus. Originally released for the NES, Metroid II expanded upon the classic 2D action platformer with new places to explore and more weapons and power-ups to find. To see why this series is such a beloved Nintendo franchise or to just relive a classic game, you can download Metroid II for just 150 Coins.
