Terraria Goes Mobile this Summer

Terraria Goes Mobile this Summer

The 2D open world of Terraria will be on almost every gaming platform this summer!

The indie studio behind the game, Re-Logic, just sent out a press release informing the Terraria community that it indeed has plans to port the 16-bit adventure to phones and tablets in the coming months. Terraria first launched on the PC in 2011, then saw a Xbox Live and Playstation Network release earlier this year. The game has rave reviews so far with sites like IGN and EuroGamer giving Terraria 9 out of 10. The press release continues to give a preview of what’s to come in the mobile version:

“Players will discover more than a dozen environments and face treacherous perils including over a hundred twisted foes, magical creatures and villainous bosses. The controls have been completely redesigned for touch screens and every aspect of the game has been tweaked and balanced to give players the perfect on the go Terraria experience.

Terraria for mobile platforms will support leader boards, achievements and Facebook integration so you can share screenshots of your adventures and creations. In development by Codeglue, Terraria for phones and tablets will be available starting this summer.”
