Natsume Opens New Office In Japan

The official opening of Natsume’s new Japan office was announced today by the developer and publisher. This new office will help Natsume in expanding its development of games for home and handheld game consoles as well as mobile devices and tablets worldwide. Heading the Tokyo-based office will be the newly appointed producer Yasutaka “Taka” Maekawa.

Maekawa, having experience from his time at Taito where he oversaw the work of several smartphone and tablet games, is expected to bring a wealth of knowledge to this office. He comments:

“I am pleased to have an opportunity to work at Natsume Inc., and feel I have come full circle growing up playing Harvest Moon, Reel Fishing, and Pocky & Rocky and now developing the same kind of family-friendly, non-violent games I enjoyed as a child. This is an exciting time for Natsume Inc. and I’m thrilled to be a part of it.”
