Equities Analyst Suggests Selling Off Xbox Segment

Equities Analyst Suggests Selling Off Xbox Segment

Nomura Equities Securities analyst Rick Sherlund has examined the company famous for Windows since its public inception. With recent complaints of the company’s stock performance, he has suggested restructuring the company.

He even suggested selling off the Bing search engine and Xbox Entertainment Interactive segment.

Now, I know what you are thinking. I had the same opinion. Quite frankly, there are too many Xbox One jokes made. (Not really..)

But in any case, you have to note that the Xbox at least used to be one of Bill Gates’ most profitable brands: Halo, Gears of War, winning the console race last generation. The Kinect used to be the biggest thing since the Wii and iPhone.

I also personally prefer Bing over Google, but that’s just me.

However, especially after the poor market reception post Xbox One reveal, there still may be that fear of the console market shrink.
