Class of Heroes 2 Out Today On PSN

MonkeyPaw Games announced today that the PSP JRPG title, Class of Heroes 2, is now available for purchase on the PSN. Those who took advantage of pre-ordering the physical+digital bundle on Gajinworks’ website received their digital download code today so that they could enjoy the strategic game while they wait for their physical copy to ship out.

In this fully translated and significantly tweaked dungeon-crawling JRPG, you get to control a party of students as they traverse dangerous dungeons (where death is a certainty). Fans of the first Class of Heroes will like to find out that the sequel offers quite a bit of the things we enjoyed from the first as well as new features. Below is just some of what Class of Heroes 2 has to offer:

  • 96 challenging quests
  • 125+ dungeon maps
  • 10 Races
  • 18 unique classes
  • Hundreds of equipment and skill combinations for beefing up soon-to-be hero students

I’ve had the chance to spend quite some time with the character creation process (you can find our first lesson/gameplay blog entry here that discusses this process more) and it is impressive to see the many difficult party combinations you can come up with. One of my favorite classes is the new Idol one. Wielding a mic, this singer is great for boosting the party’s stats and restoring some health during battles. Especially during some of the more suspenseful boss encounters that you’ll come across during your travels.

Even those who traded their PSPs in for the sleek Vita can purchase and play Class of Heroes 2 as it is Vita-compatible. In fact, it seems to be preferable if you do play the title on your Vita as the OLED screen really makes the colors pop out. Stay tuned as we hope to bring you more lessons/gameplay blog entries as well as a review for Class of Heroes 2.
