Playdead’s LIMBO Arrives on PlayStation Vita Next Week

LIMBO, the indie platformer by Playdead that stormed Xbox Live Arcade in 2010 will finally be playable on the go next week.

Playdead, along with Sony has announced today on the PlayStation Blog that the indie hit will arrive on Sony’s handheld, the PlayStation Vita in next week’s PlayStation Store update. LIMBO, which first launched as a Xbox exclusive in 2010, takes players on a 2D side-scrolling adventure where a boy, who has no name, is on the search for his lost sister.

In the blog post, Dino Patti, Founder of Playdead had this to say:

“As we approach the third anniversary of LIMBO, the game is finally ready for handheld devices. Together, with the talented people at Double Eleven, we at Playdead have been working hard to adapt LIMBO to PS Vita without compromising the experience.”

LIMBO will launch as a digital download for the Vita next Tuesday in America, and next Wednesday in Europe. The game will go for £9.99/€12.99 in Europe, and $14.99 in America.
