According to a new report, the yet to be announced project from the MMO giants Blizzard has been pushed back to 2016, along with a reset of the entire project.

The reports gives some details on the reset, this includes the development team being reduced from the current 100 down to 70. The game codenamed “Titan”  was due to be revealed some time during 2014 according to a leaked timetable, but with the project now to restart from scratch, the game could very well now not see a release until at least 2016.

Blizzard Spokesman Shon Damron has released a statement saying:

“We’ve always had a highly iterative development process, and the unannounced MMO is no exception. We’ve come to a point where we need to make some large design and technology changes to the game. We’re using this opportunity to shift some of our resources to assist with other projects while the core team adapts our technology and tools to accommodate these new changes. Note that we haven’t announced any dates for the MMO.”

This latest report is another setback for the company, with World of Warcraft, Blizzard flagship MMO losing over 1 million subscribers during the first quarter of this year, along with Bethesda showing off it’s new MMO The Elder Scrolls: Online at this year’s E3. A delay in a project that has not even been announced is the last thing Blizzard needs right now.

The developers that have been moved off off the project has been said to be transferred over to other projects, Including the Diablo III Expansion.
