All PS4 Games Will Support Remote Play

All PS4 Games Will Support Remote Play

A PS4 developer has revealed that all PS4 games will require support for Vita’s Remote Play feature.Remote Play is far from being a new feature, in fact it has been on the Vita since it launch last year and it has been around since 2007 for the PSP;  however, very few PS3 games support this as it is only an optional feature. The report states that this will change with the PS4, all games that are developed will be required to have Remote Play support when Sony next generation systems hits stores this holiday season.

There is a slight catch however, any game that requires Playstation Eye support will not be required to have Remote Play support. It’s great to hear that Remote Play will finally be a feature that can be used on more than a list of 15-20 games. It could also go a long way to help PS Vita sales and lead to some great cross platform features.

“Yes, it’s true unless the game requires specific hardware like the camera,” Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida wrote on Twitter in response to a question from a follower. “It will be great to play PS4 games on PS Vita.”

You can expect to hear this, and more on the PS4 and Vita at Sony’s E3 Press Conference in under 2 weeks time.
