Indie Game Contrast is announced to expand to XBLA and PSN

Compulsion Games has announced a partnership with Focus Home Interactive. What does that mean? It means that Contrast will not only be going to PC, but also XBLA and PSN!
There are a great number of duos in video game lore. Mario and Luigi, Sonic and Tails, Ryu and Ken. However, I cannot recall too many female duos off the top of my head. There’s Lara Croft. Samus Aran, but they’re all loners. (Ok. Maybe Joanna Dark and Agent Dark 2.)
The game’s website describes Didi as a little girl you aid in the game who needs some company – “she’s a good kid, but she’s got some family troubles and is livin’ in a complicated adult world. ” The player gets the role as Dawn, a  master of light and shadow to follow Didi throughout the game.
I think it’s interesting that video games are taking an approach towards parent-child themes like in Papa & Yo. It’s a little bit darker, but not in an outrageous Suda 51, Rockstar type of way. Is Dawn an imaginary character?
In Compulsion Games’ press release, they stated:

“I love me some creative, artistic games, and this is definitely one of those. I’ve mentioned recently that we’re doing our best to focus on quality, so that each announcement we send is valuable to you…”

The trailer seems to be proof. The game could easily pass for a Triple A studio with graphics almost as good as that of fellow period game LA Noire mixed with Mario. Take a look yourself:
