SimCity Beta Starts January 25, Registration Ends January 21

EA announced today that the beta for upcoming SimCity will be open for those who are selected to participate on January 25. The beta will run until January 28. Those who have already signed up for the chance to experience the title before its public release on March 8 are already being taken into consideration. If you haven’t signed up yet, EA still has some slots available for last minute entrants.

Lucy Bradshaw, Senior VP and General Manager of Maxis, comments:

“It is always an exciting moment to share a game that is still in development with its biggest fans prior to launch. This beta will help the team improve the live service aspects of SimCity to ensure a smooth and user-friendly experience at launch. I want to thank everyone for signing up – we are excited to share one of our most beloved franchises with our fans.”

Players who are lucky enough to get into the beta of the highly anticipated city management title will be able to play the title for an hour at a time. While you might feel that the amount of time is short, it should be noted that you will be able to get in multiple slices of the hour long gameplay during the time of the beta. The beta will start at 5PM GMT on January 25 and end at 8AM GMT on January 28.
