E3 2012: Black Ops Declassified, AC3: Liberation, and More Coming to Vita

E3 2012: Black Ops Declassified, AC3: Liberation, and More Coming to Vita

Exciting games were the focus of Sony’s E3 show this year, and a few of the showcased titles are coming to Vita.

The long-hidden Call of Duty game for Vita was revealed to be Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified¬†and was marked by SCEA President Jack Tretton for being the handheld’s first hardcore, triple-A, blockbuster FPS.

Shortly after, a new installment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise was showcased for Vita. Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation will star the series’ first female heroine and take place during the French-Indian War. The game will retain the open-world nature and stealthy manipulation of previous franchise titles. We also expect that Liberation will tie deeply into the storyline of Assassin’s Creed III, or vice versa.

Tretton also announced that PSone Classics would finally make their debut on Vita “this summer,” but he failed to provide a specific date.

We’ll keep you posted on these and other E3 2012 developments. Sound off in the comments with your impressions of Sony’s show, and check out our conference journal for minute-by-minute impressions of the big event.
