Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault Coming to PS3

Ratchet & Clank fans are already looking forward to the franchise’s HD collection arriving later this year, but now they’ve got even more reason to be excited. Earlier today, Insomniac CEO Ted Price announced that a new installment in the Ratchet & Clank franchise is coming.

Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault will throw our favorite Lombax and robot back into the fray by returning to the series’ roots with a traditional third-person camera and unabashed action. Compared to 2010′s Quest for BootyFull Frontal Assault will be roughly equal length but will also encourage multiple playthroughs in a way that Quest for Booty did not. Coincidentally, like its 2010 predecessor, Full Frontal Assault will be made available digitally through the PlayStation Store. But fear not, collectors: A physical copy will be published in the UK, and will likely be easily imported.

Before closing his PlayStation Blog post, Price made sure to hint that a HD Collection release date would be coming the next couple weeks, along with an extra surprise for North American gamers.
