Updated: Cole MacGrath Playable in PlayStation All-Stars

UPDATE 2: We’ve discovered that Eric Ladin has since deleted his tweets concerning Cole and new motion-capture work. It appears that the information he hinted was not supposed to be given…

UPDATE: Eric Ladin has responded to a Twitter query by this editor for any hints regarding his upcoming performance. The following was his response:

Ladin’s tweet confirms our speculation: The character of Cole MacGrath is returning, in a game that isn’t inFAMOUS-related. PlayStation nation, get ready to play as Cole MacGrath in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.

Original Story:

The complete PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale character roster is being kept under close wraps, but certain first-party Sony characters seem like a shoe-in to join the fight. Among them is Cole MacGrath, hero (or anti-hero) of the stellar superhero series inFAMOUS. Earlier this evening, Cole’s real-life counterpart – actor Eric Ladin – tweeted the following:

Ladin’s previous game credits include Left 4 Dead 2, inFAMOUS 2, inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood, Street Fighter X Tekken, and most recently The Walking Dead. While Telltale’s The Walking Dead is currently in production, the episodic nature of the game indicates that elements like motion capture might already be completed. However, with roughly 6 months before the Holiday 2012 launch window of PlayStation All-Stars, there’s plenty of time left if Cole MacGrath’s animations and fight moves still need to be programmed. Therefore, we suggest cautious optimism for PlayStation gamers hoping to unleash thunderous KOs later this year.
