The Elder Scrolls Online Revealed

The Elder Scrolls Online Revealed

We first reported that an Elder Scrolls MMO might be in development a few months back, when Tom’s Guide leaked information about three player factions and a setting that places the events of the game 1,000 years before¬†Skyrim. With the reveal of Game Informer’s June 2012 cover, it seems that everything we heard back in March was true. The Elder Scrolls Online will be the first MMORPG set in Bethesda’s fictional fantasy universe and will set players loose on the entire continent of Tamriel.

Set one millenium before the events of Skyrim, The Elder Scrolls Online will unveil a new chapter in the Elder Scrolls saga with the rise of daedric prince Molag Bal and his attempted subjugation of Tamriel. Players can join one of three main factions, and open PvP warfare alongside solo question and public dungeons will drive the story forward as Zenimax Online attempts to merge the rich storytelling tradition of The Elder Scrolls with the social construction of an MMO.

In the coming weeks, more details about The Elder Scrolls Online will be revealed, so keep it to Vivid Gamer for the latest on this highly-anticipated game. Right now, the game is scheduled to release for PC and Macintosh sometime in 2013.
