Open Source Steam Clone Desktop App Releases

An open source game launcher and installer has just been released looking to “help you find all the awesome indie games that exist hidden around the internet.” Known simply as Tiggit, it is a desktop app that installs and launches games with one simple click. Tiggit is summed up as sort of an open source Steam clone, but much simpler and currently only features freeware games and demos.

As of today there are over 250 freeware titles and demos available with new games added continuously. Unlike Steam, there is no registration or account necessary to play. All a player needs is to install the launcher and enjoy.

To check out Tiggit, visit their website here.
