The Louvre Introduces 3DS Museum Guides

It seems like the 3DS isn’t just for gaming anymore. The famous Louvre museum in France has partnered with Nintendo to replace handheld guides with 3DS units.

The consoles will guide the visitors with tours and offer detailed lectures throughout the museum. The device will also give shortened lectures for those who don’t want much of a history lesson.

Shigeru Miyamoto showed up to show that you can also examine HD pictures and 3D images of the sculptures in the museum. You can expect this interesting combination this March.

The DS had been used previously in a similar capacity, such as Disneyland Japan.
