Shigeru Miyamoto Wants to Make a 3DS Version of A Link to the Past
Shigeru Miyamoto told Edge.com that he would like to make a new Legend of Zelda “based on, or starting from” A Link to the Past.
Edge.com sat down with Miyamoto, asking about A Link to the Past possibly getting a 3DS remake. Miyamoto responded saying that he’s thinking about a new game with the same style rather than a remake.
Last year, Miyamoto announced that he was taking a back seat and mentoring the next generation of Nintendo developers. If Nintendo were to make a new Link to the Past, Miyamoto wouldn’t be in charge, which he admits could mean his vision would be compromised.
