THQ Sheds Employees, Changes Warhammer MMO

Major changes are changing for the struggling pubisher, THQ. It was announced today that it would be terminating 118 employees today, spread across Vigil Games and Relic Entertainment.

Seventy-nine people were cut from Vigil Games. No mention was made as to how this would affect the development of Darksiders 2. The other 39 employees were cut from Relic Entertainment, which was rumored to be working on sequel to the Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War series.

In addition to that, the upcoming MMO, Warhammer 40K: Dark¬†Millennium Online¬†has will be retooled to an “immersive single player and online multiplayer experience.” No additional insight was made into the statement.
