PlayStation Move Ships 10.5 Million Units
Sony’s answer to motion gaming seems to be on an upward trajectory. Speaking at the 2012 Game Developer’s Conference yesterday, Sony revealed that PlayStation Move has shipped 10.5 million units worldwide since its launch in 2010. This figure includes shipments of both PlayStation Move controllers and Navigation Controllers combined. Last summer, Sony reported that about 8.8 million units had been sold.
Sony’s Dave Ahn, speaking to IGN, also revealed that Sports Champions is far and away the most popular Move title, though frequent use is seen for games like LittleBigPlanet 2, Killzone 3, and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12. According to Ahn, the Move is now “part of [Sony's] DNA.”
