Sony and Scion Offer MotorStorm RC for Free

Sony and Scion Offer MotorStorm RC for Free

Yesterday, MotorStorm RC was released on the PlayStation Store for PS3 and Vita. PS3 owners can pick up this bite-sized twist on Sony’s big racing franchise for a steal at $9.99 ($7.49 for Plus subscribers), but Vita owners are getting the best deal of all. Courtesy of car manufacturer Scion, MotorStorm RC for Vita is totally free for the time being, no strings attached. The game includes a fully-playable in-game model of Scion’s new iQ model, but is otherwise functionally identical to the game Vita owners may have expected to purchase.

So, should you take advantage of this deal? Does MotorStorm RC deserve a place on your expensive memory card? Absolutely, yes. My time with the game has been limited thus far, but I’ve been impressed both by the subtle nuances of the game’s control and the absolutely fantastic social features that offer constant reminders of where your friends – and the world at large – are beating or failing to topple you. Taking back the crown is easy and intuitive thanks to a smartly-designed interface and lightning-fast load times. All things considered, MotorStorm RC seems to be one heck of a portable racing package.
