PlayStation Suite Beta Coming Next Month

PlayStation Suite Beta Coming Next Month

Announced last year, the PlayStation Suite aims to provide a full suite of development tools for Android platforms and the PlayStation Vita. Today, Sony announced that the PlayStation Suite open beta will be launching in April, giving developers who haven’t been enjoying the closed beta a chance to test their product on the PlayStation Vita. The complete version of the SDK will be released later this year for $99, and will allow developers to distribute their content via the PlayStation Store.

The open nature of the PlayStation Suite and Sony’s approach to digital content suggests that the publisher is gearing up for the long haul against the ever-growing smartphone gaming market. Before long, gamers could be seeing the same mobile experiences (touch screen and all) on the PlayStation Vita. Let us know if you think this will work in the comments below.
