Sega Performs a Promotion Shuffle

Sega’s Chief Operating Officer, Okitane Usui, will be retiring on March 31st. His replacement? Naoya Tsurumi will be taking his place as COO.

This also resulted in another promotion – Toshihiro Nagoshi will become Chief Creative Officer. For those of you not unacquainted, Nagoshi was responsible for titles such as Super Monkey Ball and Yakuza.

In addition to this promotional shuffle, two directors have been promoted to managing directors. Shigeru Yamashita and Yuki Sugino will take on those roles as well as maintaining positions as GM of Sega of Japan and GM of R&D, respectively.
