Plants vs Zombies Stumbles Onto Vita Today

The lucky thousands who got their Vita one week early thanks to the First Edition Bundle have a chance to enjoy one of PopCap’s best-selling creations on their shiny new platform. Jeff Green of PopCap Games announced via the official PlayStation Blog this morning that Plants vs Zombies will be released today on the PlayStation Store for $14.99. The price point may seem steep for a game that asks only $2.99 on iOS devices, but the Vita version does not come without a whole host of exciting features. New modes, new mini-games, Trophies, and more highlight this latest version. The full list of gameplay features includes:

  • The complete, classic 50-level adventure game
  • The Zen Garden
  • 20 mini-games
  • 18 puzzle games
  • 10 survival games
  • 43 Trophies, including one Platinum trophy
  • The Zombatar zombie-creation tool
  • Online leaderboards

These features complement Plants vs Zombies’ simple-yet-addicting tower defense gameplay and quirky sense of humor. If your Vita game collection is still paltry, Plants vs Zombies might be right up your alley.
