Dragon’s Dogma Release Date Confirmed; Xbox 360 Version Gets Early RE:6 Demo

Dragon’s Dogma Release Date Confirmed; Xbox 360 Version Gets Early RE:6 Demo

Capcom’s upcoming action-adventure title, Dragon’s Dogma, has unfortunately been pushed back two months from it’s original scheduled release date of March 27 to May 22.  Perhaps as a concession to their fans, Capcom will be including redeemable tokens in every retail copy granting purchasers early access to the Resident Evil 6 demo.  Furthermore, purchasers of the Xbox 360 version will gain access to the demo 60 days earlier then any other platform starting on July 3.  The demo for Playstation 3 owners will officially launch September 4 in North America and Japan, with European owners getting access on September 5.

Dragon’s Dogma is a new franchise hoping to redefine the action genre.  Set in a huge open world, Dragon’s Dogma is hoping to combine exhilarating combat with the freedom to explore a rich and fulfilling world.  Introducing an innovative team system involving three AI partners that fight independently, these “Pawns” will grow and develop traits based on actions from the player.  Through Xbox LIVE and PSN, players will journey to the Rift where they can share their Pawns with friends while gaining treasure, knowledge of the world, and strategies for taking down troublesome enemies.  If trading isn’t your thing, players have the option to borrow friends Pawns to tackle specific quests utilizing each individual Pawns traits and unique skills.

Resident Evil 6 is still set to release this November 20.  If you’ve yet to see the trailer, you can check it out here.
