No New Console Announcement for Microsoft at E3

No New Console Announcement for Microsoft at E3

In an announcement today, Microsoft has stated they will not be showing or talking about their next console at this year’s E3.  It seems all those E3 2012 predictions were wrong and Microsoft seems quite sure about it as well.

“I am not convinced things will happen this year,” said Microsoft marketing executive Cedrick Delmax.  “Xbox 360′s cycle is not at all finished. The proof is that we don’t see the logic in cutting the price this year.”

Delmax went even so far as to point out that they aren’t all bothered with Nintendo or Sony’s decision not to show anything about their next generation consoles.  If I were Microsoft, I would be very cofident in my position as well, seeing as how they haven’t even thought about another price cut.  With all their success with the Kinect as well, the big M seems to be taking video games in a very different direction.
