More Than One Operation In RE: Operation Raccoon City

More Than One Operation In RE: Operation Raccoon City

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City isn’t your typical Resident Evil game.  It’s going to be a third person action shooter, with some horror aspects that have been in games past.  Announced earlier today, the game will also feature several multiplayer modes.  You will be able to play as multiple characters from either the Umbrella Company, or from the US Spec Ops team.

Team Deathmatch will have a team of 4 vs 4, and there will be a force of zombies that both teams will have to contend with.  There will also be a unique Biohazard mode where  players must return samples of the G-Virus back to their respective bases while fighting off competing players and forces.  Also featured will be a Survivors mode where players must survive until a rescue helicopter comes to get them.  And finally there is a Heroes Mode where a player can assume the role of one of their favorite Resident Evil characters but not too much information other than that was given as to how the mode will work.

There is also a trailer that may give some indication as to how the various gameplay modes will work, as well as introducing characters that you can play as in the various gameplay modes.  Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is coming out on March 20th, 2012.  I am personally looking forward to this one, as I have been waiting to see if Capcom would do something different with the RE franchise.
