PlayStation Vita Launch Titles Detailed

Yesterday the PlayStation Blog finally announced the official PlayStation Vita launch titles set to release in the U.S. and Canada on February 22. While no pricing has been announced for any of these titles, Sony did mention that they will be priced along the range of $9.99 to $49.99. Although it’s probably a safe bet that you will be paying $49.99 for titles like Uncharted: Golden Abyss. Here’s the breakdown for the launch titles and prices for accessories.

SCEA Launch Day Titles

We also learned that every PS Vita will come with a few extra items to test out AR games:

Also, every PS Vita system will be packed with six AR Play Cards and one voucher to download a handful of augmented reality mini games called AR Play via the PlayStation Network. All first party games along with a selection of accessories and third party games will be available for purchase a week early (Feb. 15) in conjunction with the availability date of the First Edition PS Vita Bundle.

There’s also a Starter Kit that you can purchase for $39.99 and includes: a 4GB Memory Card, Pocket Pouch, Protective Film, Card Case, Headphones, and Cleaning Cloth. Obviously these can be purchased separately and among the most expensive items in the Starter Kit is the Memory Card coming in at $19.99. Larger memory cards will cost much more, which in my opinion is completely insane. Here’s the price breakdown.
4 GB Memory Card $19.99

8 GB Memory Card $29.99

16 GB Memory Card$59.99

32 GB Memory Card $99.99

Starter Kit with Memory Card $39.99

In-Ear Headset  $19.99

Carrying Case  $19.99

Travel Pouch $19.99

Protective Film (2 pack)  $9.99

Card Case February $5.99

Cradle $19.99

Portable Charger  $49.99

AC Adaptor  $14.99

Car Adaptor (releasing later in Spring 2012) $14.99

USB Cable  $14.99

The PlayStation Vita is going to be pricing, but there’s no way around it. Hopefully the games will be worth the asking price, but with the ability to buy online and at retailers, it seems like us gamers should get some price cut if we decide to buy the digital copy right? Be sure to check out our Preview of the PlayStation Vita and keep checking back with us for more Vita news as we get closer to launch.
