Developers Come Together To Give In “12 Indie Apps For Christmas”

Collections of indie titles for the PC such as the Humble Indie Bundle are quite popular among gamers. So it was about time for there to be an App equivalent of indie titles on sale that donate a portion to charity. This collection of 12 indie apps is done slightly different as in the games are available for individual sale instead of in a bundle. This is done in hopes to raise more money that if the developers donated themselves. 25% of each sale, after Apple receives its cut, will  be donated to the Child’s Play and Doctors Without Borders charities.

You can visit the official event site for more details here. Below is a list of the titles that are on sale and will count towards the funds going to the charities listed.

  • Christmas Air Hockey
  • Galcon Labs
  • Harbor Master
  • Smiles HD
  • Disc Drivin’
  • Full Deck Word Games
  • iBlast Moki
  • Red Nova
  • Sword of Fargoal
  • Tilt to Live
  • Trainyard
  • Velocispider

The prices of these apps range from $ .99 to $2.99 which are not bad prices for some really good games. This event will run all the way through December. If you own one of Apple’s iOS devices and enjoyed the warm fuzzy feeling of donating to charity and receiving indie titles in the Humble Bundles, then this is another great way to donate to a good cause and get something in return.
