Jak and Daxter Collection Confirmed by Sony

Jak and Daxter Collection Confirmed by Sony

Vivid Gamer previously reported on rumors that a Jak and Daxter HD collection would be hitting shelves soon, and recent developments have confirmed that such a release is in the works. Siliconera reported yesterday that USK, Germany’s video game ratings board, had officially rated a game called Jak and Daxter Trilogy Edition. The rating details that the game will be a PlayStation 3-exclusive. Minneapolis-based publication Game Informer did some digging, and a spokesperson for Sony has reported back to them, stating, “We can confirm the Jak and Daxter Collection is coming and will have more news to share shortly.”

I couldn’t be more excited about this news, as Jak and Daxter is one of my favorite game series. I expressed my desire for an HD collection of the three Jak games in my editorial published awhile back, and it seems I wasn’t the only one wishing for a triumphant return. Unfortunately, it seems like Jak X: Combat Racing may be left out of the package, given the “Trilogy” disclaimer in the German version’s title.

Stay tuned to Vivid Game for more on this story, and let us know in the comments below if you’re excited to relive (or experience for the first time) Naughty Dog’s last-gen franchise.
