Battlefield 3 Ships 10 Million

Battlefield 3 Ships 10 Million

Battlefield 3 released on Tuesday with high praise from critics so it’s no wonder that today EA announced today that the game has already shipped 10 million copies across all three platforms.  In a conference call, EA CEO John Riccitiello made the announcement, and added “but sell through is strong.”  It is to early to have the final numbers regarding how many units Battlefield 3 actually sold to customers, but stores have also begun reordering more copies.

“This is the biggest one-day shipment the company has ever done,” said EA COO Peter Moore.  The previous Battlefield, Bad Company 2 released in March 2010 and has shipped 11 million copies to date.  These numbers are also double that of EA’s Medal of Honor reboot, which DICE also worked on, according to Moore.
