Sony’s 3D Display Dated

Sony’s 3D Display Dated

Announced at E3, Sony had not, until now, given gamers a firm release date regarding the display developed for the PlayStation.  In a press release on the PlayStation Blog written by Senior Social Media Specialist, Sid Shuman, the official release date was announced as November 13th.

In the box, users will find the display, one pair of 3D glasses, an HDMI cable and MotorStorm Apocalypse.  The 24 inch display will offer active 3D technology which allows for full 1080p support and will have two HDMI ports, as well as one set of component inputs.

Sony’s new display will be the first to feature SimulView technology, which according to the blog post allows two players to see different images while looking at the same screen.  For this to work, you will need another pair of 3D glasses and “MotorStorm Apocalypse, Gran Turismo 5, Killzone 3,” or “Super Stardust HD.”  While the list is small, Sony promised to bring the ability to more games.

A full list of the features can be found on the PlayStation Blog here.
