Deus Ex “The Missing Link” DLC Arrives on October 18

Deus Ex: Human Revolution has so far been critically viewed as one of the year’s best games, and fans have been waiting eagerly for additional content to flesh out the game’s universe. We’ve known about “The Missing Link”, Eidos Montreal’s first piece of Deus Ex DLC, for some time. Earlier today, the developer announced via Twitter that the DLC will be released digitally on October 18 for Steam, Xbox 360, and PS3. The pack will cost 1200 Microsoft Points, or $14.99.

As previously reported, “The Missing Link” will focus on the three days Adam Jensen spent off the grid during the storyline of Human Revolution. Captured and stripped of his augmentations by Belltower agents, Jensen must find away to escape from a freighter destined for an unknown location. As he meets new allies and enemies, he’ll unravel another layer of the conspiracy that threatens global order in 2027. The DLC will give players the chance to try new augmentations and take Jensen down a different developmental path. It is currently unknown how this new story will be integrated into the game.

We loved Deus Ex: Human Revolution, going so far as to give it a 9.5. Next week, we’ll find out if Eidos Montreal can keep things rolling with a worthy addition to the game. Sound off in the comments if you’re excited to explore more of Adam Jensen’s story, and stay tuned to Vivid Gamer for more on “The Missing Link”.
