Back Up Those iPod Click Wheel Games As They’re Gone From iTunes

Back Up Those iPod Click Wheel Games As They’re Gone From iTunes

For those of you still sporting the older model iPods and iPod Shuffles that enjoy playing games on them, you might be surprised to learn that all game support for these models have seemingly vanished. Reports have been coming in that titles have been disappearing from the storefront with news that all were gone overnight.

This could be done in favor of thinning out the non-iOS models among the popular and multifunctional iPod Touchs. No new games that use the click wheel have been added since back in 2009. However, there was the launch of the 220GB iPod Classic back in February which had a lot of people thinking that Apple was going to continue putting focus on the older models that didn’t rely on an iOS.

If you still use your iPod Classic or iPod Shuffle to play these games, it might be best to look into backing up those games in case you plan on removing them and adding them later on. There are a good deal of free cloud storage sites that you could use but Dropbox is one that I’ve heard of and use from time to time.
