The title that had North American Persona fans waiting over 12 years for has finally made its way into stores and on the PlayStation Network yesterday. Aram Jabbari, Manager of PR and Sales at Atlus, commented:

“The release of Persona 2: Innocent Sin¬†for PSP system marks the end of a very long wait for fans of the Shin Megami Tensei franchise and its Persona subseries. Not only does this new PSP system version of the game offer fans a refined, enhanced experience, improving upon the visuals, user interface, audio, and more, but it is also the only entry in the Persona series of critically acclaimed JRPGs to never be officially localized for North America.”

Gamers who preordered Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 2: Innocent Sin also manage to get the bonus 10-track music CD that features music from both the original and remastered soundtracks and special outer box to house both the game and CD. But the musical score isn’t the only thing to be overhauled as graphics also take advantage of the PSP’s hardware.

Look forward to our upcoming review of Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 2: Innocent Sin in case you’re still on the fence on getting this title. But a fair warning is that with most Atlus titles, supplies are limited.
