Rockstar Reveals Two Max Payne 3 Screenshots, Hints at Game’s Release

Max Payne 3 is the long-awaited third installment in the gritty action series that saw its debut on the PC in 2011. With L.A. Noire behind them, developer and publisher Rockstar Games is hard at work on the game and has treated its anxious fanbase to two new screenshots. The screens were posted on the Rockstar Newswire and showcase an impressive level of realism. Feast your eyes on the images below.

Rockstar also noted in the news post that Max Payne 3 will be their next big release for consoles and PC, trumping the mysterious Agent and the next Grand Theft Auto sequel. Will Max Payne 3 will see a release in 2012? Probably. In March a Take Two casting call surfaced for characters that included a Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas radio personality. If this is any indication of the progress of the next Grand Theft Auto game,  Max Payne 3 must be further along in development. Rockstar Games also told gamers to expect a lot of big news in the coming months.

Are you excited for Max Payne 3? Would you rather Rockstar focus its efforts on a Grand Theft Auto sequel? Sound off in the comments below and stay tuned to Vivid Gamer for more on both of these highly anticipated games.
